This Privacy Policy applies to OppOm.com and the OppOm mobile applications and services (collectively, the “Platform”). By using the Platform, you acknowledge the practices described below.
1. Information we may collect
- Account information: name, mobile number, email address, login/account identifiers and profile information.
- Care requirements and booking information: service needs, selected caregiver or agency, booking dates, meeting requests, notes and transaction records.
- Location information: selected location, service address, and device location when you grant permission and the feature needs it.
- Caregiver/agency information: profile details, qualifications, experience, documents, identity/KYC information, availability, pricing and related registration information where applicable.
- Media: profile images, documents or other files you choose to upload.
- Device and technical information: device identifiers, app version, IP address, diagnostics, notification token and security-related logs.
- Communications: support, complaint, feedback and enquiry messages.
- Payment information: payment/order identifiers, amount, status and reconciliation details. Payment instrument credentials are processed by the payment provider; OppOm does not intend to store card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs or banking passwords.
2. Why we use information
- Provide accounts, onboarding, caregiver discovery, meetings and bookings.
- Process and reconcile payments and refunds.
- Send booking, account, service and security notifications.
- Provide support, complaint handling and grievance redressal.
- Prevent abuse, fraud and security incidents.
- Improve platform reliability and user experience.
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, KYC or regulatory obligations where applicable.
3. Permissions
The app may request permissions such as notifications, photos/media, camera or location when relevant to a feature. Where practical, OppOm should provide an alternative method when permission is not essential to the core action.
4. Third-party service providers
OppOm may use service providers for payment processing, cloud infrastructure, messaging/notifications, identity verification, analytics, communications and security. These providers process information for their respective services and are subject to their own terms and privacy obligations.
5. Payments
Online payments may be facilitated by Razorpay or another approved payment service provider. OppOm should store only the transaction information required for order status, reconciliation, customer support, refunds and legal/accounting records, and should not store payment-instrument credentials.
6. Data sharing
Information may be shared with the caregiver or agency involved in a request or booking to the extent needed to provide the requested service. Information may also be shared with service providers, professional advisers or authorities when required for operations, safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance or protection of rights.
7. Retention
OppOm retains information only for as long as reasonably required for the purposes described in this Policy, including account operation, booking history, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, taxation/accounting and other legal obligations. Retention periods may differ by data type.
8. Account and data deletion
Users may initiate account deletion from the OppOm app where the feature is available and may also submit a web request at Account Deletion. Information that must be retained by law, for fraud prevention, unresolved disputes, accounting or payment reconciliation may be retained for the applicable period and then deleted or anonymised as appropriate.
9. Children
OppOm is intended for adults capable of entering into binding service arrangements. A parent or lawful guardian should manage any care booking involving a minor or dependent person.
10. Security
OppOm uses reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information. No online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11. Your choices
You may update certain profile details, manage permissions through device settings, unsubscribe from non-essential communications where available, or request access/correction/deletion by contacting support.
